When life becomes too busy with deadlines, traffic, and meetings, you do need to escape once in a while. For me, that escape took the form of a 6-day bali trip from Delhi, India to the mesmerizing island of Bali. All thanks to Fliptrip, a travel company specializing in vacations that are not only affordable but also memorable, I can now officially check off another bucket list destination without spending a lot of money.
Fliptrip’s Bali itinerary, starting at just INR 19,999 per person, included culture, nature, thrill, and relaxation all in one fabulous tropical package. They exceeded my expectations!
Let me take you through my individual, day-by-day experience of this wonderful 5 Nights and 6 Days Bali getaway.
Day 1: Arrival in Bali – A Warm Welcome to Paradise

As soon as I landed at Denpasar airport and stepped outside into Bali’s warm and breezy air, I forgot the craziness of Delhi there and then. I was greeted by a Fliptrip representative, who was holding a placard with my name — such a minor detail but it made me feel like a VIP at that moment.
On our way to the hotel, there was so much to see; the colourful streets filled with local markets, greenery, and friendly smiles. After I checked into the hotel, the a/c room was prepped and ready to go, and I was welcomed with a tropical drink, which set the mood for the whole trip. My room had a balcony with a view of palm trees swaying in the wind in front of a sunset — exactly what I needed to reset.
For the rest of the night I decided to relax at the hotel poolside, facing forwards and let the sounds of nature and the cool water wash city life away. The rest of the night was spending a bit of time enjoying a quiet dinner and making a promise to give myself permission to fully enjoy each moment.
Day 2: Kintamani & Ubud Tour – A Cultural Deep Dive
We woke up nice and early to a huge breakfast buffet, and it was off to the full-day Kintamani and Ubud Tour. Our day was filled with authentic Balinese culture, art and more amazing views.
First stop was Legong Batik, where they showcased traditional Balinese batik art. It was fascinating to watch the talented artists paint their amazing designs on fabric. The next stop was Celuk Village, famous for gold & silver jewelry. It was incredible to watch local artists bring their creations to life, each piece telling part of the story of Balinese Heritage.
Next we drove to Mas Village, known for its wood carving. There were carvings of deities and masks, and each carving seems to speak of stories from the island’s spiritual heritage. After we had experienced these crafts, we drove to the high, tranquil destination of Kintamani Point.
Here, I stood feeling dwarfed by Mount Batur and because of Lake Batur, the view was magical. Although we did not go down to heat the crater, the view left me a little breathless. At this point, we finished lunch at Maison Ubud that was nicely situated with extensive views of rice fields and volcanoes in the distance. We had deep connection with the island’s soul at this point.
The last stop was a visit to a coffee plantation. I got to see behind the scenes on the process of how Bali’s iconic Luwak coffee is made. Drinking freshly brewed local coffee and overlooking green fields was a simple pleasure.
Day 3: Adventure Day – Water Sports at Benoa Beach
Today was all about adrenaline and ocean breeze. After breakfast, we went to Tanjung Benoa Beach in South Bali, a lively hub for water sports and sunshine.
Fliptrip’s itinerary featured three exhilarating activities:
- Banana Boat Ride: A splashing ride, with plenty of laughs as we bounced off waves.
- Jet Skiing: I sped through the turquoise water, wind in my hair, and a big smile on my face.
- Parasailing: The highlight of the day – drifting above the water with a panoramic view of Bali’s coastline. It was like flying.
After all the excitement, I relaxed in the beach shack sipping coconut water while watching the sunset. It was the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation.
Back at our hotel, I enjoyed a much-needed Balinese massage and fell into the most peaceful sleep I’ve had in years.
Day 4: Spiritual and Scenic – Tanah Lot Temple
Bali’s spiritual heartbeat exists thanks to its temples, many of which have mystical, historical, and local stories. Tanah Lot delivers it all! This ancient Hindu temple is built on a rocky outcropping in the ocean. It is as much a religious site as it is a visual wonder.
When we arrived, it was still afternoon, and we surveyed the surrounding market before moving closer to the temple. Both sounds of the crashing ocean against the rocks and the scent of incense decorated the air. It was almost overwhelming!
As the sun dropped in the sky, light cast gorgeous, golden reflections on the water, and Tanah Lot turned into a surreal place. It’s easy to understand why it is known as Bali’s best sunset temple.
I sat and soaked up the energy of the place, for close to an hour, taking photos, meditating, and journaling. It was a pause in reflection that I didn’t know my schedule needed!
Day 5: Denpasar City Tour – Urban Charm With Traditions
Most tourists bypass Denpasar, but Fliptrip holidays made sure that we were able to discover the cultural gems of Bali’s vibrant capital city.
We started our day at the impressive Bajra Sandhi Monument; a memorial to Balinese struggle and triumph. As we walked around inside the site we had the chance to walk through its museum, as well as an interactive 3D Art Museum, while taking photos of hilarious scenes within imaginative backdrops.
After spending time at Bajra Sandhi, we strolled through Puputan Square; a historical site and public park where locals gather and unwind. Then we stepped into the vibrant chaos of the Badung Traditional Market – an exotic collection of fruits, handmade souvenirs, and aromatic spices.
Going to Jagatnatha Temple was yet another interesting insight into Balinese spiritual beliefs, and the Bali Museum provided information on its history, culture, and art.
Denpasar seemed to be the ideal conclusion of a trip that has taken me from beaches to volcanoes, from artisans to adventure.
Day 6: Goodbye Bali – Until Next Time
Leaving was hard than I thought it would be. After breakfast, we packed our bags and checked out of our accommodations. The team at Fliptrip arranged our airport drop-off flawlessly and even provided us with some information about shopping at the duty-free.
As I departed the beautiful island of Bali and once again headed into the sky, I looked down with a somewhat heavy but incredibly happy heart. I had come to Bali with the intent to relax, and I found I left with much much more, memories, friendships, spiritual growth, and an undeniable urge to wander.
